Whether your needs are simple or complex in nature, St. Francis Animal Clinic can provide solutions that deliver results for your pet. Our certified doctors and staff specialize in outstanding veterinary care for small animals within a friendly and caring environment.
We offer spacious boarding for cats and dogs in our climate-controlled facility. Dogs are taken outdoors twice daily for off-leash play in our new outdoor enclosure. We have recently added bathing and limited grooming to our offerings. We are proud of the long-term relationships we have developed with our clients and their pets.
Some of the services that we offer include:
ROUTINE CHECKUPS:
Regular physical exams are one of the most important things you can do to keep your pet healthy. Exams allow us to monitor and treat conditions that prevent major health issues from developing undetected.
WELLNESS EXAM:
Involves taking your pet's vital signs and pet's health history, including eating habits, exercise, and unusual behaviors. The doctor may also perform diagnostic tests such as blood work, urinalysis, disease screenings, and intestinal parasite tests, and vaccines may be administered. Veterinarians may also recommend preventative measures against fleas and ticks, demonstrate preventative home dental care techniques and discuss proper nutrition.
VACCINATIONS help combat diseases and are a vital part of protecting and maintaining your pet's health. They are preventive measures to help combat viral diseases. To ensure optimal protection, it is important to ensure proper and timely administration of inoculations.

Spaying
A surgical procedure in which both ovaries and the uterus are removed from your female pet. Some of the benefits of spaying include: helping to control dog and cat overpopulation, eliminating heat cycles, and preventing some diseases. Research shows that pets that have been spayed live longer than pets that have not.
Neutering
A surgical procedure in which both testicles are removed. This procedure helps avoid dog and cat overpopulation and some behavior issues and can help prevent some diseases, including prostate disease and testicular cancer.
Our staff of skilled veterinarians has experience with several soft tissue surgical procedures, including tumor removals. When necessary, the masses are analyzed and submitted to a veterinary pathologist for consultation. Since early detection can be essential to successful outcomes, please contact your veterinarian if you discover a new lump on your pet.
Dental health plays a major role in your animal's overall health. Dental disease not only causes pain but has the potential to cause infection, which can affect major organs throughout the body as well as a result in tooth loss. The skilled veterinarians at St. Francis can help your animal companions by providing regular dental care, from teeth cleaning and polishing to thorough oral exams and x-rays.
Our on-site digital x-ray equipment allows the doctors to obtain immediate results while exposing your animals to significantly less radiation than traditional x-rays.
Saying goodbye to a beloved pet can be an agonizing process, but we are here to make the experience as dignified and peaceful as possible. Our veterinarians are very familiar with the experience and are available to discuss the options and the procedure.
We offer both in-house and online pharmacy options to allow flexibility and time savings.
In-House
Our in-house pharmacy can fill most prescriptions in short order allowing patients to begin their medical regiment immediately thus enabling recovery to begin sooner while simultaneously saving their pet parents the time and effort of making an additional stop.
Online
Our online pharmacy offers free home delivery with no minimum order and can be set up for automatic refills allowing owners peace of mind knowing they will never run out of medication.

BLOOD WORK: By utilizing in-house and reference laboratories, St. Francis can offer a wide range of blood work. Some of the most common are:
HEARTWORM: Heartworm disease is a serious and potentially fatal condition caused by parasitic worms whose larvae are transmitted by infected mosquitos. The disease impacts both cats and dogs and has the potential to cause medical problems which can affect the lungs, heart, liver, and kidneys. Using a small amount of your pet's blood, a quick in-house test can determine if your animal is infected. Suppose it is determined that your animal is heartworm-free. In that case, prevention can easily be accomplished by giving your monthly pet medication.
Parasite Control: Intestinal parasites live inside your pet, making the symptoms difficult to pinpoint but can be detected by fecal analysis. Internal parasites can harm your pet and have the potential to be transferred to humans. Preventive care and prescription heartworm medication are essential to safeguarding animals and humans.
Nutrition Counseling: Our veterinarians understand the importance of pet nutrition and the role it plays in enhancing your pet's health and potentially extending its life. Allow our veterinarians to battle unhealthy weight gain by counseling you on dietary options.
PRESCRIPTION FOODS: Prescription diets are foods that your veterinarian has selected based on your animal's specific needs. They are intended to help your pet's health and quality of life. We carry several varieties in-house and numerous brands can be obtained via our online partners. Orders will be shipped free of charge to ensure convenience, and reoccurring shipments can be scheduled.

Microchip identification is a safe and inexpensive process that enables lost pets to be reunited with their owners. A microchip, which is approximately the size of a grain of rice, is injected under the skin. The chip contains a tiny metal "barcode" that can easily be read using a microchip reader waved over the animal. The Clinic registers your pet's microchip so your animal can be quickly and easily identified.
St. Francis offers boarding. Our runs and suites are housed indoors in a climate-controlled facility. Dogs are taken outdoors 2 times a day and allowed to roam off leash in our spacious 300+ sq/ ft dog play area under the supervision of a trained staff member.
Baths are an important part of maintaining your pet's coat and skin health. In addition to bathing, consider your pet's other grooming needs, including nail trims, ear cleaning, and coat brushing.
